The 13th Beach boys got their chance to learn from the best today for the Play it Safe by the Water Surf with the Boys tour Presented by Oakley.
15 of the region’s up and coming young boys got amongst the waves at 13th Beach regardless of the strong onshore winds.
Each participant got the chance to learn some valuable water safety knowledge while surfing with Rip Curl Pro runner up Adam Robertson (Portland) and World Qualifying Series Surfer Jack Perry (Jan Juc).
With these young boys looking to take their surfing to the next level, this was the perfect opportunity to get some water safety and competition advice from two of Victoria’s best.
Robertson was excited about the future of the boys.
“Some of these young boys have the potential to become very accomplished surfers.”
“This level of surfing is great to see for boys this young.”
The day consisted of a talk on water safety,identifying rips, and never surfing alone.
